David Dodge of GreenEnergyFutures.ca takes a closer look at Ontario’s greenhouse gas reductions and pins it to one thing: shuttering coal-fired power plants and transitioning to renewables and lower carbon electricity generation.

And while a lot of governments and politicians have talked the talk on greenhouse gas reductions, Ontario has actually walked the walk. With 50MW of energy storage being developed in accordance with Ontario’s Long Term Energy Plan, it unlocks the full potential of renewable energy.

“In 20 years, we will look back and wonder how we operated the grid without energy storage” says Jason Rioux, VP of NRStor.

Energy storage is the key to maximizing the efficiency of our grid and creating rate payer value which is why Ontario is well on it’s way to a Green Energy Future.
